Chapel Masses - First Fridays

Holy Mass in
Our Lady of Guadalupe Chapel

Mother of Life Pregnancy Center is blessed by the patronage of the Mother of God, under her title Our Lady of Guadalupe. This peaceful, sacred space wherein the Center's staff commences each work day in prayer is an inspiration to clients and supporters alike. Visitors are invited to pray and worship, reverently enjoying the beauty of the chapel while meditating upon the profound mystery of life in the womb and the love of God.

First Friday Devotions and Mass

The faithful are welcome to join us for First Friday devotions which may include: Exposition of the Most Blessed Sacrament, silent personal prayer, the Litany of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, the Litany of Loreto, the Holy Rosary, and Benediction, followed by the Holy Mass.

Usually, our prayer commences at 11:00 a.m. and Mass is celebrated beginning at noon; however, it is sometimes necessary to alter the schedule depending upon the needs of our Chaplain and guest priests.

Each month during the days preceding First Friday, we email an announcement about the schedule. To become informed, click here gail@motheroflife.org to add your name to the email list.

About Our Chaplain —

Rev. Scott J. Carpentier

Father Carpentier, pastor of St. Brendan Church in Riverside, was ordained to the Priesthood in the Diocese of Providence on June 1, 2013. He began ministering to Mother of Life Pregnancy Center in 2017. He composed the following invocation for our annual Rose Gala.

O God, You are the Lord and Creator of Life. You have imparted in our hearts and minds the desire to nurture and protect life at all its stages. Through the power of the Holy Spirit, assist us to affirm the value of life. Grant us the wisdom and courage to speak out and defend the precious gift of human life, which you have created in Your image and likeness.

Oh Mary, Mother of Jesus and Mother of Life, we honor you as Our Lady of Guadalupe. Thank you for pointing us to Jesus Your Son, The Savior and hope of the world. Renew our hope in Him, that we all may have the courage to say Yes to life, and to defend those children in danger of abortion.

Give us your compassion, dear Mother, to reach out to those tempted to abort, and to those suffering from a past abortion. Lead us to the day when abortion will be a sad, past chapter in our history. Keep us close to Jesus, the Life of the World.

We pray for the conversion of all who support abortion that their hearts will be opened to the Gospel of Life. We ask that in your Son’s mercy you bring peace and healing to all whose hearts are weighed down by the sin of abortion.

Dear Saint Joseph, May your example inspire us also to welcome, cherish, and safeguard God’s most precious gift of life. Help us to faithfully commit ourselves to the service and defense of human life. Obtain for us the grace to do the will of God in all things.

Amen.
